This is an assignment to create a map in GRD II at Wayne State University. The isometric map shows a great deal of information in a small area. I chose to highlight the advertisement companies in the Detroit area. Each agency’s building is based on their original architecture. The buildings also have billboards displaying familiar accounts or advertisements that they currently hold or had in the past.
Team Detroit’s building has a billboard of an older Ford advertisement by J. Walter Thompson (before the merger into Team Detroit.)
Oz Advertising is famous for the original Little Caesar’s Pizza campaign.
McCann Erickson Detroit is currently running the Pure Michigan tourism campaign.
Commonwealth added Chevy Silverado to their account recently, while Leo Burnett’s Silverado billboard is being erased.
The second map is an alternate color scheme suggested by my instructor. The alternate color scheme focuses more on the main billboards than the building architecture. This color scheme gives an emotion of playfullness.
